LEED and Minnesota Greenstar
Green Home Certification
Building "Green" is not just a matter of adding solar panels and bamboo flooring to a design. To be sure of a home's "Green" credentials, insist that it be independently certified.
Two programs, LEED for Homes and Minnesota Greenstar, provide Green Homebuilding certification and standards in Minnesota. Keith Waters & Associates, Inc, can design and build for either system. In fact, we participated in the pilot program for MN Greenstar and created the first home it certified "silver."
Both of these certification systems involve completion of detailed checklists and testing that verify the efficiency and healthfulness of the home.
